- Special attack version of the D4Y3 in production from February 1945: an 800 kg bomb semi-recessed in the bay, 75 mm armoured glass, 5 and 9 mm plates fore and aft of the cockpit, protected tanks, no rear gun, provision for rocket boosters. Late aircraft (after April 1945) lost the Type 97 guns and the bomb ejector.
